Little Pear Pattern and Star Trek

I made up this pear pattern in Sociology class. I didn't think it would turn out this small, but it's way too cute to change! :) I know I should really be making those Christmas gifts right now, but I have time. It's Winter break! I have 16 days off! Which is great, I can crochet all I want. I will never get used to how much school cuts into my crocheting time..

Stuff you Need:
YARN! Whatever kind you like. One light, one dark color.
Crochet Hook! Whatever suits your yarn weight.
Safety eyes, buttons, sequins, anything for the eyes.

Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain
Sc: Single Crochet
St: Stitch
Dec: Decrease
Inc: Increase

  1. Wow, the Trek shirt might make a rice krispies eater out of me :-) I've been a fan since the '60's (please don't do the math...).

Your pear and penguin are adorable. Love the penguin's little tricks :-)

  4. Anonymous,

All you have to do is chain a few stitches on your hook, as if you were starting a row on a blanket or granny square. Sew to the top of the pear and you are done! :) I hope that helped. Message if you have any more questions.

  7. Good find! I really like the amigurumi food that I'm kind of addicted to making it now. My nephews are always waiting for my next creation and I think a pear will do quite nicely!

  8. Richard-

I used to be addicted to making amigurumi food also! There are tons of books available on Amazon that have food patterns. I also remember buying a book on Etsy from Japan that has super cute desserts in it. :)

Happy crafting, and thanks for the comment!
