  4. Twee,

Maybe try to shape it and stuff it a little more? My monkey is extremely well stuffed, which is why it is so fat. Also, turn your crocheted pieces inside out so that the right side is facing. It will hide all of the increases and decreases. That is why our stitches don't seem look the same. :)

Another problem may be the yarn you used. I used Vanna's Choice which is really elastic. I recommend using something that is 100% acrylic. Soft would do well too, so I wouldn't use Red Heart or anything. Make sure you use the correct hook size with your yarn, too. :)

    I hope this helped!

  5. By the way!

I just read on your blog it is your first ever amigurumi! Everyone's first doesn't look like the pattern. You should have seen mine, I still have it sitting on my desk staring at me with its one eye! :) Don't feel discouraged at all. I would be proud if I were you! I thought (sc2 in one st, sc 3) Meant you scd 5 into one stitch. Not the case! :)

    KEEP CROCHETING!

Cute pattern! Do you have any recommendations for a substitute for felt? I'm only 14 so I can't drive to the micheals near by to get felts... I have tan yarn but I don't know how that would work... Please help!!

  8. I love this pattern! I made two as a gift for a friend's new baby. I did the face different and did the second one in white.
